Fridays are for Family!!

Whitney, I have to give you the credit for my "Fridays are for Family" posts. I LOVE your "Mondays are for Melody", and thought it was such a GREAT idea, I HAD to have something as wonderful as that. So thank you for the idea!! That being said, guess I'm gonna hafta strap my camera back around my waist and take a BUNCH of pics. lol

Starting with these:
NOTE: there are a LOT of pics this time because it's the first post of this kind for me. Hey, don't say I didn't warn you!!! lol

This is Aubrey. She turned 3 in December, and most of the time "poses" for pics by putting her hands in front of her face!!

This is Kyle. He turned 10 in June. Can you say HAM? lol

Here's my teenager!!  This is Sara. She turned 15 in January. She's at a friend's birthday party and turned herself into the present!! lol

This is me. I think Kyle took this picture. He's a pretty good photographer, wouldn't you say?

Me with my two beautiful girls. Sara has a heart that's pure gold.

This is me with my wonderful hubby Scott and my precious daughter Aubrey. We rarely get pics with him because he's gone a lot. He's a truck driver.

Sara and Scott. I'm SO grateful they get along well. Technically, she's not his, but in his heart it does not matter. Nor in her's either.

Kyle and Aubrey together. She LOVES to watch him play games on his computer.

I love this pic of Scott and Aubrey!! The thing in her hand is a container of bubbles in the shape of a boot.

And here's the last member of the family: Caleb! We I named him that because Caleb is actually the hebrew word for "dog". I couldn't resist naming him that when we found him lost in the snow in November of 2011. I'm so glad God directed him to us. He's such a good dog!!

So that's my family.......for now!! Yeah, it's no secret that I want another one. :) Hopefully I'll be pregnant right sometime between halloween and Thanksgiving.....then I'll have one in August. :)That's what I'd LIKE. Hopefully God will agree with me!! lol

10 Day YOU Challenge: 2 Songs

Just two songs?? That's it???  But there are SO MANY GOOD SONGS!! okay. I'll try. Hmmm........

1. John Waller's While I'm Waiting.

GREAT MOVIE, TOO!!

2. Dave Barnes' God Gave Me You

This one ALWAYS makes me cry. I dunno why, but it always makes me think of my wedding day, even though we didn't use this song in it!!

Oh! And I have finally figured out how to put videos and pics on my posts!!! lol So you'll be seeing a lot more of them!! Now I just have to figure out how to link up. :D I'm a good student if anyone wants to heap some knowledge on me. I'm figuring this out as I go along right now. lol

10 Day YOU Challenge: 3 films

Sorry I'm late with this one......had a bunch of things going on and got overrun!!

Here are 3 of the films that I really really love. Well, sort of. One of them changed my life for the better, so although it was not an easy show to watch, I love it for the effect it had on me. The other two were great to watch but still had a great message!!

#1: Passion of the Christ: DEFINITELY not easy to watch, but I can tell you this: my relationship with Jesus became REAL after I watched this show. I went from being a "casual christian" to a disciple of Jesus after watching it.

#2: Courageous. This is one of the BEST Christian movies I have ever seen, and it has a great message to go along with it!! I would love for every father or father figure to watch this movie!! It's THAT good!!

#3: Facing the Giants. Yes, the same people who did Courageous did Facing the Giants. Maybe that's why I like it so much!! hehehehe But Facing the Giants makes one believe in the power of DREAMS and how God can make them come true, and that NOTHING is impossible with Him!!!

10 Day YOU Challenge: 4 Books

ONLY 4 BOOKS??? hmmmmm. I have so many I like, though!!! lol

Alrighty, here goes.....

My absolute all-time favorite books:

1. The Bible....in the Amplified Version. Did you know the Amplified was written by women? So it has a LOT more words than the ones the MEN wrote!! lol I found that very interesting

2. The Left Behind Series......they all go together!! You have to read them all, and in order. :) Otherwise they would make NO sense at all. :)

3. Anything written by Francine Rivers, but particularly her Mark of the Lion series. They are VERY inspirational!!!

4. And my one NON-Christian Series I liked: Anne McCaffrey's Brainship-Brawn books: The Ship Who Sang, PartnerShip, The Ship Who Searched, The City Who Fought, The Ship Who Won, The Ship Errant, and The Ship Avenged. hehehe The others were better, but this one was fun if you like Sci-Fi that was written by a woman. :) Not many of THOSE around!! lol

10 Day YOU Challenge: 6 Places

ok, I have been to WAY more than 6 places in my lifetime, so I will tell you instead where I would LOVE to go. :D

1. I would LOVE to go to San Antonio with my husband for our anniversary, and spend a whole week there. I have no clue if this will happen in the way that I want. You see, he took his EX wife to San Antonio on their honeymoon. When he asked me where I would like to go for our honeymoon when WE got married, he almost choked when I told him that I wanted to go to San Antonio. Needless to say, he talked me out of it. But San Antonio is just about the only major city in the great state of Texas that I HAVEN'T been to yet.

2. I would like to go to Hawaii one of these days.....just to say I've been there!!!AND I want to go scuba diving there. And get some really great photos underwater. :)

3. I want to go to our nation's capitol. I have been around it several times, but never actually gone INTO it. I want to see the White House and go to Georgetown and go shopping!!

4. I want to go to the states in the US I haven't been to yet: Washington, Oregon, Montana (especially Montana; I hear it's really beautiful there), Alaska, Rhode Island, and Maine. I have BEEN everywhere else at some point in my life. :D Except Hawaii. But I put that at number 2 because I want to go to Hawaii BEFORE I go to the other states I haven't been to yet. lol

5. I would love to go to Israel and walk where Jesus walked and see the tomb where they buried Him and see the whole nation of Israel. :) And I want to do it BEFORE Jesus comes back. I KNOW that one day I will see Jerusalem. The Last Battle will be there and all the followers of Jesus will be THERE when it happens. I just want to see it beforehand.

6. HEAVEN. I can't WAIT to get to go to heaven and see the streets made out of gold, and the house prepared just for me, and the rivers of milk and honey. :) And to get to meet all the people that are HEROES in the Bible. And be able to talk to them about everything God did for them. And to be able to see the cherubim saying "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty!" Oh, how I long for that day!!! And when I finally get there, I don't think I'll ever want to go anywhere else. :D So I want to save that one for last. lol

Rock and a hard place. Advice, anyone?

I feel like I'm stuck betweena rock and a hard place. My husband is an over-the-road truck driver. He's gone for 6 days (not even coming home nights), and then he gets home and is home for 2 days. He sees no way out of his job unless I go get a job as well. My issue is this: I do not want to have to go to work and let anyone else raise my baby. She turns 3 at the beginning of December. On the one hand, I want to be able to help my husband come home; I want to be able to help financially. On the other hand, it will rip my heart out to let someone else raise Aubrey. I firmly believe God gave her to ME to raise; He didn't give her to me so I could turn around and give her to someone else!!!

Anybody have any advice? Is there any way to combine my two wants?? I want to make money, AND stay at home with Aubrey. I've considered sales, but we have no money to go buy "inventory" for anything like selling jewelry or Avon or anything like that. HELP!!!

10 Day YOU Challenge: 7 Wants

I should be done with this one in about 3 minutes. lol

7 wants:

1. I want Jesus to come back SOON.

2. I want my husband to come home from his trucking job and be able to stay home. He's an over the road truck driver.

3. I want more children.

4. I want more money. lol

5. I want to go to San Antonio with my husband on our anniversary. :)

6. I want to have a bigger house so each of my children can have a room of their own.

7. I want to have a business where we buy an old decrepit house, fix it up, and resell it. :)

ok, there's more that I want, but those are the big things. lol
